Our greatest challenge for him was to minimize downtime of this customer-facing system, and he exceeded our expectations through his creativity with options and skill in coding and tuning processes. He was flexible in working hours, which was needed to limit customer impact, flexible in location -- local at first and remote for the remainder -- which was never a problem, and consistently delivered top-quality work on or ahead of schedule. Alex was originally contracted to provide senior DBA service on a large GIS project, to provide database architecture planning and related technology rollout to support this project.
